Shah Rukh Khan just took to Twitter to release the song 'Halka Halka' song which couldn't make it to the theatrical cut of Raees. Sung by Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghosal, this sizzling romantic number presents SRK and Mahira like we never got to watch them in the film.
In comparison to 'Halka Halka' both 'Zaalima' and 'Udi Udi Jaye' pale as far as the levels of intensity are concerned. It would have certainly been a conscious decision to not to include this song as it shows a rather bold side to the relationship and the chemistry than SRK and Mahira shared in the Rahul Dholakia film.
While the entire song is sensual in every sense of the word, it is the rain sequence that would make you breathless. Needless to say, the song is mellifluously sung and brilliantly choreographed. SRK and Mahira are a sight to behold. And more than the rhythm and the tempo it is the vibrant colors that sets it apart.
Directed by Rahul Dholakia, Raees co-stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Atul Kulkarni, Narendra Jha, and Sunny Leone who performs the item number 'Laila Main Laila'. The film which released on 25th January has already done a business of over 250 crore worldwide despite facing tough competition from Kaabil.
Hats off to SRK for choosing to release 'Halka Halka' eventually and not keeping his fans deprived of a truly awesome song, sets to the tunes of the one and only Ram Sampath.
