A Potpourri of Vestiges is a one-stop destination for movie-buffs: film reviews, entertainment news, movie trivia, latest trailers and more. We also endeavor to feature an eclectic selection of avant-garde, auteur-driven, thought-provoking films from across the globe with the aim of acquainting the masses with the realm of cinema, especially as the ultimate medium of human expression.

A Potpourri of Vestiges is an award-winning entertainment blog, based out of India, operating since October 2011.

Indian top blogs (ITB) has featured us in their eclectically chosen Directory of Best Indian Blogs for the seventh consecutive year in June 2018


In June 2017, Feedspot selected 'A Potpourri of Vestiges' as one of the 100 Best Movie Blogs on the web following a painstaking process that involved a careful scrutiny of thousands of Top Movie Blogs on the internet. It is the only movie blog in the list with a strong focus on the Indian Independent Cinema.






In December 2017, A Potpourri of Vestiges was awarded the best movie blog by an international jury at the Indian Blogger Awards 2017.




Also in December 2017, TierraGamer included A Potpourri of Vestiges in their list of Top Popular Blogs.  

In November 2017, Movie Hustle included A Potpourri of Vestiges in their list of Top Movie Blogs.  


In October 2017, 'The Writer Awards' chose A Potpourri of Vestiges as one of the top entertainment and film blogs of 2017 (#8 in the Top 50) after carefully sifting through over 500 blogs from across the world. 




In July 2017, ITB included us in their Platinum List of Indian blogs, which is the Crème de la Crème of Indian English blogosphere. In February 2015, Baggout featured A Potpourri of Vestiges at the 2nd spot in its list of Top 10 Bollywood blogs in India. 

In the prestigious BlogAdda Awards for the year 2015, we got featured among the Top 5 blogs in the Entertainment niche for the second year in a row. A Potpourri of Vestiges features among the top blogs in the IndiBlogger network with an IndiRank of 81 (on a scale of 100). We also bagged the "Blogger of the Fortnight" award from Winchimes. We are also enlisted on various major blogging directories/communities including the prestigious The LAMB (Large Association of Movie Blogs) Community.















Our prime focus is to highlight contemporary as well as classic cinema—art house, classic, indie, or cult—by analyzing movies through means of reviews, essays, critiques, etc. and by our coverage of major international award functions and film festivals. We have a strong and ever growing readership base, a healthy mix of masses and aficionados, uniformly distributed all across the globe.

Murtaza Ali Khan is a film critic, journalist, and blogger based out of New Delhi, India. He runs the award-winning entertainment blog 'A Potpourri of Vestiges'. He has been writing on cinema for over seven years. He is a Guest Columnist at New York-based magazine Cafe Dissensus and also contributes to publications like The Hindu, Newslaundry The Quint, and The Huffington PostIn the past, he has contributed articles to sites like Desimartini and Jamurra BlogHe is also on the guest panel for live TV discussion on News X.
