The 2017 Golden Globe winners have been announced. The awards show was hosted by comedian Jimmy Fallon. The overall results are as per the expectations with La La Land winning in a record seven categories.

But before we get to the complete list of winners it is imperative that we made a special mention of the great Meryl Streep who won the prestigious Cecile B. DeMille Award. Streep also went on to deliver a particularly political speech wherein she launched a tirade on the US President-elect Donald Trump without even mentioning his name.

Coming back to the winners, Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling both won for their breathtaking performances in La La Land. While they won in Best Performance categories for a comedy or musical, Isabelle Huppert (for Elle) and Casey Affleck (for Manchester by the Sea) won in Best Performance categories for a drama.
