Raees: Trailer Review

A Potpourri of Vestiges Feature

The long wait is over for SRK fans. The much awaited trailer of Raees has finally been released. The wait was certainly worth it. For, SRK  absolutely nails it! Playing the part of a Gujrati bootlegger, SRK is a sight to behold. From kite flying to shrewd business talks to romance, SRK doesn't seem to put a step wrong. K.U. Mohanan's breathtaking cinematography transports us to the Gujrat of 1980s. The trailer has this razzmattaz-like sensation that may give goosebumps if you are a Shah Rukh Khan fan.
Although, the trailer of Raees seems to be all about SRK but there also are other facets about it that are worth mentioning. Atul Kulkari, for example, seems to have finally landed with a substantial role, something that's actually worth his talent, in a major Bollywood production. And what can one say about Nawazuddin Siddiqui that hasn't already been said about him? Here again he is stunning to watch. This is the first time he would be sharing screen space with Shah Rukh Khan and it is certainly going to be a clash of titans. There are no two ways about it and the trails substantiates it from the word go. After watching SRK and Siddiqui in trailer, some may even be reminded of the chemistry that Pran and Amitabh Bachchan shared in the 1970s Bollywood classic Zanjeer.

The trailer of Raees has certainly raised everyone's expectations. The SRK that we all love appears to be finally back. If the movie is even half as good as what the trailer suggests, Raees would be the greatest blockbuster of Shah Rukh Khan's iconic film career. Watch out for the Sunny Leone special.

Directed by Rahul Dholakia and co-produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Gauri Khan and Farhan Akhtar, Raees is slated to release on 25 Jan, 2017.

For now you can check out the fantabulous trailer of Raees:
