Trailer Review: 'Alien: Covenant' - Creepy turns Creepier in the much-awaited Prometheus sequel

A Potpourri of Vestiges Feature

Alien: Covenant, Trailer Stills, Shower Scene, Prometheus 2

The trailer of 'Alien: Covenant' has been released on YouTube and it looks creepier than any Alien film so far. The spectacular trailer ends with a blood-cuddling scene wherein a couple making love under a shower get attacked by a creepy alien spies and all we see is a blood splattered face of a woman crying hysterically.

A new chapter in Ridley Scott's popular Alien franchise, 'Alien: Covenant' revolves around the dangerous extraterrestrial encounters of the crew of a colony ship named Covenant that's headed for a remote planet in the far reaches of the uncharted space.

'Alien: Covenant' is the sixth movie of the Alien franchise and is looked upon as a sequel to Prometheus and a prequel to the original Alien film. Confused? Well, 'Alien: Covenant' would bridge the gap between the two films. Remember, Prometheus (2012) was being touted as the prequel to the events we witnessed in Alien (1979). But, where the movie ended we were left high and dry and so there has been a great anticipation since then for a second film in the prequel series. The wait is finally over!

Starring Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, and Billy Crudup, 'Alien: Covenant' is slated to release on May 19, 2017.

For now, you can watch the trailer here:
