M. S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, like most star biopics, suffers from a lack of objectivity. While there is no denying that Dhoni is a larger than life figure, the film doesn’t leave any stone unturned to project him as a flawless, superhuman being. M. S. Dhoni: The Untold Story also avoids touching upon the various controversies surrounding Dhoni’s life.

The acting performances in the movie are solid all around. Sushant Singh Rajput seems to have worked very hard to perfect Dhoni’s mannerisms, most importantly his batting style and his trademark helicopter shot. There movie is entertaining for the most part. But, it could have greatly benefited from tighter editing, especially towards the second half.

Clocking at 184 minutes, M. S. Dhoni: The Untold Story is a bit too long for my liking. However, apart from its unqualified praise of Dhoni and his achievements, the movie does well to recreates some of the magical moments from M.S. Dhoni’s incredible cricketing career, the 2011 Cricket World Cup final in particular. If you are a cricket fan, the movie wouldn’t disappoint you.

  2. I think the first half of this movie is fine but the 2nd half is not upto the level, typical Bollywood love story type..So many facts are missing despite of being such a long movie.I hate those advertisement in this movie .Taht is a disgusting idea to put suvh add directly in a biopic .Sushant's acting is awesome no doubt .I am rating this as 6.5/10..
