Fast & Furious 8: Trailer Review

A Potpourri of Vestiges Feature

Fast & Furious 8, Trailer, Charlize Theron, Vin Diesel

The first official trailer of Fast & Furious 8 has just been released. And it's everything that the Fast & Furious franchise stands for and more.

We all know how colossal a commercial success Fast & Furious 7 was. It is never easy to top a movie like that. Also, Paul Walker's tragic death has been a major setback for the franchise.

All this meant that Fast & Furious 8 would have heavy odds stacked against it right from the word go. And the makers have certainly up the ante as evident from the high octane trailer that will simply blow your mind.

The trailer shows us things that Fast & Furious fans wouldn't otherwise believe. The trailer shows Dom doing the unthinkable. Seduced by a mysterious woman (named Cipher, played by the ravishing Charlize Theron), he returns to his old maverick ways, betraying not only Letty but his family in the process.

Speaking of the unexpected, Hobbs is forced to team up with his nemesis, Deckard Shaw in a bid to stop Dom and Cipher from unleashing hell.

The stakes are certainly larger than ever. Fast & Furious 8 takes us from the shores of Cuba to the streets of New York City to the icy lands of the Arctic.

Diesel and Theron look great together. Faster & Furious 8 co-stars Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, and Kurt Russell. Suffice it to say that the movie looks bigger and better than its precursor. And it's certainly no hyperbole.

The film is slated to release on April 14th, 2017.
