Quick Review: Luc Besson's Anna (2019)

A Potpourri of Vestiges Review

By Murtaza Ali Khan

Luc Besson shows in Anna what an old pro he really is. What he can do in his sleep others struggle to achieve even at their best. Anna maybe Nikita reloaded for the present times but it's such great fun to watch.

Model turned actress Sasha Luss (sporting wigs reminiscent of the legendary Anna Karina) absolutely owns the film as Anna and surprisingly so. She gets great support from Helen Mirren, Luke Evans, and Cillian Murphy. Don't let the detractors discourage you. Just go for it. It's currently streaming on Netflix.

Summary

Beneath Anna Poliatova's striking beauty lies a secret that will unleash her indelible strength and skill to become one of the world's most feared government assassins.
