Imteyaz Hussein - Kaagaz

Imteyaz Hussein​, the screenwriter of the Satish Kaushik-directed film Kaagaz​, streaming on ZEE5, talks to Film & TV Critic Murtaza Ali Khan​ at the 3rd Azamgarh International Film Festival about the film's journey which started back in 2002-03 when Kaushik first commissioned him to write the script.

Kaagaz is a 2021 Indian biographical film produced by Salman Khan and Nishant Kaushik under the banner of Salman Khan Films and The Satish Kaushik Entertainment Production. The film stars Pankaj Tripathi and Monal Gajjar with Amar Upadhyay who plays the main antagonist. The plot of the film is based on life and struggle of Lal Bihari, a farmer from the small village of Amilo Mubarakpur, who was declared dead on official papers. 

Imteyaz Hussein is the writer of cult Hindi films such as Parinda, Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin, Vaastav, Astitva, and Ghulam-E-Mustafa, among others.
