Berlinale 2013: List of contenders and winners  

A Potpourri of Vestiges Feature 

The 63rd annual Berlin International Film Festival—the first of the three most prestigious international film festivals that are held every year; the other two being Cannes Film Festival and Venice International Film Festival—was hosted in Berlin, Germany between the 7th and 17^th of February 2013.

The festival jury was presided over by renowned Chinese filmmaker Wong Kar-wai and his latest film The Grandmaster was chosen as the opening film of the festival. The festival’s top honor, the Golden Bear, was awarded to the Romanian film Child's Pose, directed by Călin Peter Netzer. The closing ceremony of the festival, hosted by Anke Engelke, was held Saturday evening in the storied Berlinale-Palast at Potsdamer Platz. 

The French documentary filmmaker Claude Lanzmann was awarded with the Honorary Golden Bear. Italian actress Isabella Rossellini, German filmmaker Rosa von Praunheim, and American filmmaker Richard Linklater were awarded with the Berlinale Camera.
