The 64th annual Berlin International Film Festival was held in Berlin, Germany between the 6th to 16th of February 2014. The festival jury was presided over by American film producer and screenwriter James Schamus. 

Wes Anderson’s film, The Grand Budapest Hotel, which opened the festival was awarded the Jury Grand Prix (Silver Bear). 

Chinese  film, Black Coal, Thin Ice, directed by Diao Yinan, was awarded the Golden Bear.
