Mobile theatre company, Picturetime is starting a MDMT (Mobile Digital Movie Theatre) release with Brahmanand Singh’s Jhalaki for pan India

Backed by Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi, Jhalki, a film which tells a story of a brave girl who sets out in search for her brother will be screened at PictureTime, a mobile theatre company that uses these theatres to take films to areas and interiors of India where there are no theatre screens.

A 150 seater equipped with air condition and 5.1 dolby system that give you an experience of watching a film in a high tech theatre.

PictureTime and Kailash Satyarthi Children Foundation have officially collaborated to showcase the movie exclusively in Picturetime which is a MDMT (mobile digital movie theatre).
With this collaboration Picturetime will take Jhalaki to schools across the nation, it will reach children in the rural areas where cinema is inaccessible.
This will also be one of the first initiatives which will open new avenues or revenue for filmmaker’s  who are not able to access theatrical release system in an effective manner.
Produced by Brahmanand S. Siingh and Annand Chavan, co-produced by Vinayak Gawande and Jayesh Parekh and co-directed by Tanvi Jain.Starring Boman Irani, Tannishtha chatterjee, Divya Dutta and Yatin Karyekar as lead characters, Govind Namdeo, Sanjay Suri, Akhilendra Mishra and Arti Jha, Jhalki will be seeing a children’s day release on 14th November,2019 in theatres and MDMT platform.

On this collaboration, Sushil Chaudhary, CEO, PictureTime says:
“One of the main USP of Picturetime is to be a platform for filmmakers who are not able to access theatrical release system in an effective manner. When we met Jhalki team, the beautiful film, made with a lot of passion. A beautiful story of a child and I feel this movie should go and reach every school of this country. When Mr.Brahmanand proposed that Jhalki could be the next MDMT release, we accepted and here we are going to go ahead with the collaboration and take this movie to all schools across India.”

“India has a lot of entertainment dark spots especially in the rural areas and tier 3 cities but the same time entertainment is loved and people are very eager to watch new released films but looking at the economic viability of the project, not too many theatres are coming up. So when I was designing the project, idea was to cater to rural parts of India  and today we have done a lot of travelling across tier 3 cities of many states. We’ve been to 14 states and it’s a joy to see people reacting to PictureTime in rural parts of India.”
